Ramen and Downward Dog

I had lunch with my family yesterday at Teri Cafe (www.tericafe.com) They just opened up a place in Clairemont (the other is in Oceanside.) A very Island Boy-Islands Restaurant feel, with Jack Johnson's music pumped into the background. The Banzai Ramen (with chicken and veggies) was delicious! They make their own noodles in a factory in Oceanside. The miso ramen looked okay, and my mom's katsu-don was sub-par, but I want to try the yakisoba next. The prices are cheap and they serve big quantities (I couldn't finish my ramen.)

In other news, I found a wonderful yoga instructor at the LA Fitness in Kearny Mesa (of all places...) Her name is Susan and she teaches Tu/Th mornings and evenings. I love her! I totally broke out in a sweat and she goes around her class, making adjustments on her students. I still want to take a Saturday pilates class with Bruno, one of these days...

Fun! I'm glad there's a good yoga lady to go to. I'll have to check out one of those classes. We had a sub in Pilates last Sunday. It had been her second class but she did a great job and really explained things in a way that made me understand better what it was I was doing. Man - my outer thighs are still sore!
