So without further ado, it is with great pride that I may present my first ever harvested nasubi (Japanese eggplant)!
I cooked it up with some ground turkey, per Nasus' recipe, and savored every bite (keep in mind, there weren't many of those- it was a small nasubi, after all, and I shared it with B). Next, what do I see growing here? My first cucumber! Aaagh!
Since I took these photos, several yellow squashes have also emerged...it's shocking! Truly, amazing. Sure, they're just just a few phallic vegetable-like fruits growing in a pot, but I'm pleased as punch nonetheless. You really have no idea.

awww.. mini eggplant and cukes! how cute
yay! I am inspired, you green thumb you!
Yay! Now you can get all giddy and childlike about your veggies just like I do. I haven't had much time to post about mine lately, but we're swimming in tomatoes, and it looks like we'll have our fair share of winter squash in the fall, too.
You're having much better luck than we are with the summer squash, though. Something is making ours unhappy, and for a generally productive plant, they're being pretty lazy. Wish I had more experience to know what's wrong...
Definitely congrats on yours, though!
Yow! I am impressed! There's something super tasty about homegrown vegies, isn't there? I am just too lazy to do it. Good job!!!!
Yay for your garden! I bet your own homegrown veggies taste more wonderful than anything at the market!
Super YAY!! for the veggie-like-fruits!
Congratulations on your holy crop! (ha! I love that subject line!)
