Pace is relative. The pace of my life over the past couple months was crazy hectic. I managed, but it was a whirlwind of work, stress, worry, comfort (junk) food, and caffeine overload. Now that our work deadline has mercifully passed and B's health situation is A-OK once again, things have slowed down and my life is starting to get back to normal. I use that term loosely, of course. But at least I am able to spend more quality time with B and the doogles, not to mention my current (resurrected) knitting project.
I am finally making some detectable progress on Carmelita! I am now on Chart 3 of 4. I could almost cry.
I am now also able to see my family again. On Sunday, I gladly braved the sweltering Valley heat to visit LA, Rex, and the Peanuts... The now walking Peanuts, mind you! It was so great to see them again! They were both happy and playful, and the best part- they seemed to remember me (or at least weren't afraid of me) - which I was very happy about, especially considering I have been quite the absent Aunty as of late. We made funny faces and played with toys...when Kyra wasn't sitting in the toy box, that is...
For most people in the Northern Hemisphere, the summer is nearly over. For some of us, it's just beginning. Kinda sad, yes, but we'll take it!

Can I tell you how inspiring it is to see you pick up Carmelita again?! Perhaps I will gather myself and pick up my Ogee Tunic, which seems to taunt me each and every time I walk into my office/yarn room!!!
I can't believe that the peanuts are walking! Geez...how time flies.
Such a cutie! And Carmelita! Well, she's really looking good!
Wanna race? Maybe that'll get us both to finish that shawl faster. I've kind of been lagging lately.
Kyra is adorable in her box. My little one was sitting in a box just a few minutes ago, looking like a blond version of her.
Kudos for resurrecting Carmelita! So, you're 75% done, eh? Soooo close now....
Is it sad that I equate a Peanut in a box with my cat Maggie in a box? Probably. ;D
Enjoy your summer!
what a cutie! okay, someone needs her bangs trimmed...
How is it that they only get cutter? I am so pleased you are getting some relaxing time and enjoying yourself...Your Shawl LOOKS BEAUTIFUL.
Doesn't it feel wonderful to be able to catch your breath again??? Carmelita looks like the perfect zen knitting.
I'm so glad you guys have some time to breath now. Carmelita is looking good! ...and the Peanuts, wow, walking! How exciting!
