I knew I wanted to knit a special sweater to commemorate Bean's arrival, but I wasn't sure what it should be. In the end, I figured I couldn't go wrong with a February Baby Sweater. I mean, right? Classic, timeless, cute... I'm calling it Blossom.
I'm using Rowan Wool Cotton, and it's knitting up pretty quickly. I finished the yoke and one sleeve. I decided to knit the sleeves in the round- a good move, if I do say so myself. Of course this won't be the only sweater I ever knit for her, but I think it's getting me off to a good start.
Also blossoming...
I hadn't taken a full-length bump-showin' photo in a while, so just in case you're wondering what 31 weeks looks like, here you go! Yes, I said 31 weeks. Which means 9 weeks (give or take...we all know this is not an exact science) to go. I can't believe it! How did this happen??

When knitted gifts are worn: Ryan
There is no satisfaction quite like seeing your knitted gifts being worn and enjoyed by its recipients. Dis recently posted a pic of her Elliott in the BSJ I made for him and he couldn't be more adorable! And another good friend just sent me a photo of her little guy in the baseball tee sweater I knit for him. Check out this cutie!
And my heart melts just a little more...
And before you think the baby knits are done, fear not! I've only just begun! I started knitting a February Baby Sweater, and I've got a couple other small projects in the queue. Fun times!
Well, knitting in between cleaning and eating non-sugary foods and and picking out baby things and trying to sleep and trying to not stress out. Yup, the reality is sinking in. Thank goodness for knitting!
