I knew I wanted to knit a special sweater to commemorate Bean's arrival, but I wasn't sure what it should be. In the end, I figured I couldn't go wrong with a February Baby Sweater. I mean, right? Classic, timeless, cute... I'm calling it Blossom.
I'm using Rowan Wool Cotton, and it's knitting up pretty quickly. I finished the yoke and one sleeve. I decided to knit the sleeves in the round- a good move, if I do say so myself. Of course this won't be the only sweater I ever knit for her, but I think it's getting me off to a good start.
Also blossoming...
I hadn't taken a full-length bump-showin' photo in a while, so just in case you're wondering what 31 weeks looks like, here you go! Yes, I said 31 weeks. Which means 9 weeks (give or take...we all know this is not an exact science) to go. I can't believe it! How did this happen??

You look great!
Your bump and Blossom are both AWESOME! That's a perfect pink - I believe I've made my niece some socks out of that very shade of Wool Cotton :)
I just learned how to knit on double-pointed needles earlier today. I can't wait to make something!
You look great! That's such a pretty color for the FBS. :)
Love the second shot--glowing and gorgeous as always. Miss you!

Cannot wait to talk to you after this weekend!!!!
I like your bump. You look so happy! OK, I need some advice. I need to start knitting baby gifts. I've only really knitted basic patterns, squares and triangles. Any suggestions and an easy cute baby knit. How difficult are booties?
You look great! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the comments, everyone!
Mercedes - Oh, baby knits are so much fun! Booties are quick, and there are tons of patterns online. This pattern (http://sockpixie.blogspot.com/2008/01/solution-to-sock-knitters-dilemma-magic.html) looks really easy (no seaming). I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to soon. :) Also, if you haven't joined Ravelry yet, DO- there are zillions of patterns at all skill levels. Hope this helps!
