Carmen (alias: Burlypurly)
Well here she is, the completed Carmen sweater, which I've decided to nickname Burlypurly. Just a quick recap: the pattern is the Weekend Pullover from Knitting Pure and Simple, knit in Brown Sheep Burly Spun in Dark Charcoal. This marks my first completed "real" sweater (sorry, Happy Daisy, but I will come back to you, I promise). I wanted something big and well, burly, casual, and warm, something to throw on on cold days or nights. And I must say, this fits the bill. The pattern was simply constructed, easy to follow, and quick to knit (even for a slow knitter like me). All in all, a very satisfying project, and a great deal of fun. I think I'd like my next sweater to be a little more close fitting, but for what this little number is, it's perfect. I am loving this.
