I also received Knitting Nature by Norah Gaughan. Talk about a gorgeous collection of designs, all of them inspired by the shapes and patterns found in nature. So, so pretty! The third book, Sam Choy's Island Flavors, was actually ordered by B. He claims that he will be cooking meals for us using this book. We shall see. No, no- I will refrain from skepticism and will instead remain optimistic! Sam Choy, for those of you who aren't familiar, is a chef and restaurateur from Hawai'i. The yummiest dishes, let me tell you! This man knows his food! Needless to say, if- I mean - when B decides to make anything from this cookbook, I will be pleased, to say the least. :) Books...regarding knitting and food 9two of my favorite subjects)...it doesn't get much better. (I checked- there weren't any shoes or purses tucked away in that box-shoot!)
Dakota doesn't knit, read or cook, but he is darn cute, so he gets his picture taken, too. :)

Oooh - I've been dying to see the Knitting Nature book! I got my copy of the Knit Cafe book today as well! Yay!
Man, if B whips out with some Sam Choy, invite us over! :)
Yay Dakota!
Great book delivery!
The Sam Choy book intrigues me. I may have to go check that out.
I think Knitting Nature may be my favorite knitting book ever. The designs are amazing. I went looking for Knit Cafe at Borders but they didn't have it....totally want to check it out.
awww Dakota is totally cute : D
I've been perusing blogs to see who talks about Knitting Nature to invite them to the Knit Along I'm hosting, but the combo of books you've got there is great.
I just picked up Knitting Nature but the funny thing is that I bought it at Knit Cafe (didn't get their book - but might eventually).
And, the Sam Choy's book is great. My boyfriend is from Hawaii, and we've cooked a few recipes from it. But, by far the favorite is the Mochi Mochi Chicken. It takes a bit of work- but it is the best thing ever. People always request we bring it to parties; one of our friends calls it "Magically Delicious Chicken." I highly recommend it.
But, back to my original point. Please join us for the Knit Along.
